meganmcisaac: i’m asking for your help with film, processing, and scanning expenses. i have over 30 rolls of film that i’ve been waiting to process and scan because of the costs, and the pile is just going to keep growing and growing. i know some of you who read my blog are aware of the costs, but for those who arent… each roll of 120 film costs anywhere from $4-8 and has only 12 exposures. on average i shoot a roll a day (not counting photoshoots,) and then mail my film to citizens photo in portland, where they process and scan my negatives. processing is $3 per roll, plus an extra $8 per roll for high resolution scans onto a CD. that totals to almost $20 each. i will continue to choose film even if i go into major debt over it, and i’m not complaining about the costs of processing, but because i don’t have the means to develop the film myself while traveling (yet) and because i haven’t found anyone that is willing to pay me for my photographs (yet) i am putting it out there to anyone that would like to help me out. the fun part is that i have 20 copies of my zine and 13 copies of my poster left to give away. if you donate $10 or more, i’ll send you one of the posters or zines as a thank you (while supplies last, of course.) click here to donate. and please, if you don’t have money to spare right now, don’t worry about it. knowing that you’re following my blog is enough to keep me interested in sharing my photographs at all (and you can expect some new photographs in the very near future.)
